Do you have an anchor?

Though i've never seen it,I'm told that Niagara River has a couple of interesting signs upstream of the famous falls. There is one by the side of the river visible to daredevil boaters that reads,"Do you have an anchor?" Then just downstream is a second sign that says, "Do you know how to use it?"
"Do you have an anchor?" i have found that a solid anchor is indispensable to one who intends to live fully. To have an anchor is to be centered and well grounded. It is to have a vital spiritual base.
"Do you know how to use it?" For no amount of faith is enough if it is not used.
We all come to what has bee described as the " the Red Sea place" in our lives That is the place where there is no way back and no way around. We have to go through.
Even a small ship can venture into deep waters and weather major storms if it has an anchor. But it is likely to be tossed about and even capsized if the anchor is not used.
What will you do when you get to the next" Red Sea place" in your life?Do you have an anchor?
Do you know how to use it?

We are all One

Thought of the Day

"We are all One" is more than a beautiful slogan. It is a precise description of the nature of Ultimate Reality. When you understand this, you begin experiencing life and treating each other in a new way.You see the relationship of all things differently. You notice the connectedness at a much higher level.Your awareness is expanded, your insight becomes very keen. You ,quite literally, see in.
This increased ability to peer deeply into life allows you to look past the illusion and to recognize to "know again",to re-cognize your Reality. It is by this process that you remember who you really are.

mirrors...

its 2:45am, my young family are fast asleep...while i'm here...obviously tapping on making my blog...i'm a wandering spirit...i struggle every so often to fall asleep because my mind goes wandering around...i'm always pondering into oceans and seas of lots of things..things that most people wouldnt even think about.my dearest friend ann..would always coaxed me on putting it on my blog..so here's a snippet into my ocean..come dive with me..hehehe as in.
mirrors...i have a love and hate relationship with mirrors.i love them when i love what i see in them...interior designers love them for thier ocular effect of space...but i hate them when i get to see the blatant truth of the reflection....me.i nitpick evry little thing that is wrong.a spot over here..a blackhead over there..a wrinkles here n there. But lately...i've realize there's more to it than just reflection...because now that i have more than just mirrors to remind me of what is true and beautiful ...my children are my mirrors and i am theirs.Often times i hear people say to me.."your little girl is so much like you"...and i have mixed thoughts about it..whether its a good thing or otherwise.
